Deanna R. DeSon

Attorney

Biography

Deanna DeSon grew up in San Clemente, California, and moved to Montana in 2014, quickly making it her home. She earned her B.S. in Microbiology from Montana State University before shifting gears into media licensing, where she developed expertise in copyright protection, rights management, and media sales.

Motivated by a desire to help individuals and businesses navigate complex legal challenges, Deanna pursued her J.D. at the University of Montana Alexander Blewett III School of Law. Since then, her legal journey has been grounded in hands-on experience.  She served as a Justice Court prosecutor with the Gallatin County Attorney’s Office and as a legal intern with several litigation firms, gaining broad exposure to complex civil matters.

Combined with her earlier work in copyright licensing, rights management, and corporate coordination, these experiences have refined her ability to navigate intricate legal frameworks.

Deanna draws on her diverse background to provide comprehensive and practical counsel to her clients. She approaches each case as both an advocate and a counselor, believing that effective representation is built on trust as much as strategy.

Outside of work, Deanna can usually be found on a bike, trail, or ski slope—happiest when her dogs, Staphylococcus and George, are along for the ride.
