William E. McCarthy

Will McCarthy joined Worden Thane P.C. as an intern while attending law school. After graduating from the University of Montana School of Law in 2002, Will was admitted to the State Bar of Montana and began his practice as an associate of the firm. Prior to his J.D. he received undergraduate degrees from Montana Tech and The University of Montana.

Will has extensive experience dealing with comprehensive estate planning matters, probate and trust administration issues, estate tax issues, and business planning issues surrounding formation, operation, management mergers and dissolutions. He also frequently handles a variety of real estate proceedings, commercial transactions and a broad range of taxation issues.

Will serves as legal counsel for many Montana for- profit and non-profit organizations and is the President of the Board of Directors of Children's Oncology Foundation, Inc., which operates Camp Mak-a-Dream. He is also the past president of the Western Montana Bar Association.

A native of Butte, Montana, Will is a 4th generation Montanan and proud of his Irish-American heritage. Will's sizeable extended family stretches across the U.S. and even into Ireland.

When not on the phone at work, Will enjoys the Montana outdoors, sporting events, traveling and spending time with his wife, two active boys, and his 8lb Shi Tzu that enjoys herding cattle. He enjoys football and is an ardent fan of the Montana Grizzlies and the Miami Dolphins. Consequently, he is usually in a better mood on Saturdays than on Sundays.
